CDG code Their dreams, CDG Group’s CSR project, joined hands with the Department of Computer Education, Faculty of Technical Education, King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology North Bangkok, in launching the \u201cComputer Programming for Education\u201d program under the \u201cPublic Training\u201d project to support future labour markets. As coding skill is no. 3 in the list of top 10 future world\u2019s skills needed domestically and globally, the program is aimed at educating students and teachers on how to use the coding skill for their survival and success in the digital world. The program focuses on computer language learning development and digital preparedness for further studies and teachings and enables learners to apply the knowledge gained to their real-life professional roles. \u201cCDG CDG Code Their Dreams: Public Training\u201d project already kicked off through 4 different activities with the goal to develop more than 1,000 coders by the end of 2020 as part of the effort to drive Thailand\u2019s education sector to thrive in today\u2019s digital battlefield.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Mr. Nart Liucharoen, Chief Executive Officer of CDG Group,<\/strong> disclosed that today\u2019s global trends that are worth watching and will have impact on national and international future labour markets are stemmed from the growing importance of High-Speed Internet, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and Cloud technologies. According to the World Economic Forum (WEF)\u2019s report, it is expected that by 2022, on average, 58% of labour hours will be carried out by humans and 42% by machines and algorithms. These figures indicate that employers are expecting to expand their workforce by employing workers who will have new, specific skills to deal with creating innovations and applying technologies. The coding skill is among the top 10 skills mostly needed at national and global levels.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe said trends clearly signal the importance of future professional skills which are in the highest demand in the labour market. CDG Group thus announced its collaboration with the Department of Computer Education, Faculty of Technical Education, King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology North Bangkok, to conduct the \u201cComputer Programming for Education\u201d program under the \u201cPublic Training\u201d program to support coding workers in future labour markets. Student and teachers will be educated on coding techniques. The program focuses on computer language learning development and digital preparedness for further studies and teaching and enables learners to apply the knowledge gained to their real-life professional roles,\u201d said Mr. Nart.<\/p>\n

The \u201cPublic Training\u201d project started with the \u201cIn-House Pubic Training\u201d pilot program through the 4 activities aimed at training students in secondary education levels 1-6 as well as teachers. The activities come in a number of training courses. For example, \u201cScratch Program Training\u201d<\/strong> offers basic knowledge about the Scratch app for teachers to prepare teaching plans and students to create games. \u201cMbot Learn & Run \u2013 Mun & Fin\u201d <\/strong>enables participants to know \u201cMbot\u201d robot benefits. \u201cSticker@Line\u201d<\/strong> teaches learners how to create their own Line stickers. \u201cThunkable\u201d <\/strong>demonstrates how to create simple apps on mobile phones. \u201cIoT Smart Building\u201d<\/strong> shows how to control the functioning of things online. Mr. Nart added that the said project is intended for introducing basic knowledge about coding. The project can be said to have contributed to Thailand\u2019s advancement towards innovation, education development and technological readiness. Mr. Nart viewed that successful businesses, applications or social media platforms currently in place were all created through coding. The project already kicked off with the goal to develop more than 1,000 coders by the end of 2020.<\/p>\n
